If you’re dreaming of a Chicago engagement session that blends city views with nature, Lincoln Park and North Avenue Beach are a perfect pair. Between the skyline backdrop, lake breeze, and the architectural charm of the Honeycomb structure, this area offers endless variety within just a short walk.
Christine and Justin’s engagement session was one of those perfect early June afternoons that make you fall in love with Chicago all over again. We started near the Grant statue, using the surrounding architecture and pathways for a classic city-meets-park feel.
These two showed up looking effortlessly put together. They were cute, casual, and completely themselves. From the very first shot, they were naturals. They leaned right into my quirky guidance, laughed through every prompt – even the purposely silly ones – and brought such an easy, genuine energy to the session.
After exploring the park, we made our way over to North Avenue Beach. They danced and laughed, and we took in the gorgeous blue sky/classic Chicago skyline.
Toward the end, they even started suggesting a few fun photo ideas of their own—goofy, spontaneous shots that had all three of us laughing. Those candid moments ended up being some of my favorites from the day.
