Max + Bri : Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront Proposal

Maxwell was referred to me by one of my past couples and I could not be more grateful.  I was so excited that I had the date open for his planned proposal last month.  When he mentioned the location, I got even more excited.  A Chicago rooftop with a view of the river?! YES PLEASE!!!  I met with him and the hotel’s amazing coordinator a few days before and we went through a plan of action, developing a story of how the whole proposal would go down.  Brianna’s friend Lisa was a HUGE part of this plan and was absolutely awesome! Her sister just happened to be planning a wedding so we devised a story that her engagement party would be held upstairs at the hotel, where they all were invited.   I was the ‘event photographer‘. 😉  I planned to meet both ladies downstairs when Lisa messaged they were close and explain that Lisa’s sister wanted pictures of the guests and their reactions to all of the details they saw when they exited the elevator.  (The real reaction would be Brianna’s when she stepped out and saw these amazing memories Maxwell had framed and displayed for her.)  The sweetest part was that Maxwell had it planned that because they were going to a ‘party‘, both ladies would go and get their nails and hair done.  She would be all dressed up for her OWN PROPOSAL. <3 <3 <3

All week long the Chicago weather forecast was questionable.  We were really close to moving the entire thing inside, but it ended up being cloudy and overcast.  It was perfect…

And that RING!!! <3 <3 <3

Not a bad location to wait for your soon to be fiance… 😉

I mean, I THINK she was surprised.

Champagne toasts and Chicago rooftop views. <3

Before meeting up with friends later to celebrate, followed by an amazing dinner, Maxwell planned for them to relax alone on the rooftop and take it all in.  I don’t think she stopped smiling for a second.

You two are the sweetest!!!

Oh yes, KEVIN their DOG, joined in on the fun with his very own ring box/ball. HA!

How sweet is this little family?!

And then, Kevin stole the show.  This guy was in heaven playing up there.

This though! HA!

After a while, they decided it was time to call close family and friends to share the news…

Kevin and I played ball.  🙂

This is one of my favorite pictures.  Everyone is so happy!

Ok, this one too! I LOVE KEVIN! HA!

And just like they do all the time on any regular day, they walked to City Winery for a glass…this time though…as an ENGAGED COUPLE!

Maxwell and Brianna,

I could not be happier for you both! Thank you for letting me be a part of this special day with you.  I wish you all the happiness in the world as you start planning another very special day.

Also, I love Kevin and will for sure dog sit that guy any day. 😉
