Meeting over wine to discuss working together was only the beginning.
When Liz of Elizabeth Nord Photography and I first met, we immediately got along. A few glasses of wine later, photo ideas were rolling in! 😉
I personally have always loved the show ‘Sex And the City‘. It’s one of my favorite things to put on in the background when I’m at home editing or have girlfriends in town for the weekend. Before working together in the wedding photography industry, Liz and I thought it would be fun to organize a stylized shoot together. Bring in real-life girlfriends who generously volunteer their time, an amazing Chicago venue, and a bunch of very talented vendors and we had one awesome photo session in the making!
The biggest question, how could TWO different photography companies work together to create something that would showcase both of their talents? It’s simple, COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION. Check out this genius concept via The Rising Tide Society. We knew right away if we decided to work together in this shoot and in upcoming weddings throughout the year, we would ONLY prosper. Not only do we bring out the best in one another, but we help to make each other better photographers. That to me is a HUGE win in one very competitive field. What’s even better is Liz helped to bring the Tuesdays Together concept here to Chicago! So proud of you lady and so excited to be a part of this all with you! 😉

Inside for the rest of the day! Thank goodness we had such a cool venue to shoot in!
The amazing City View Loft!
Joanna & Maggie working their magic! 🙂
Not a bad skyline view if you ask me! 😉

Man I love my CITY!
As everyone was pulling out all of the details and figuring out placement, I got so excited just looking at the colors!

It wouldn’t be a ‘Sex and The City’ shoot without Cosmopolitans! 😉
Our ‘Bride’ – the lovely AJ.
Carly – One of AJ’s real life bridesmaids!
And Nina, another beautiful bridesmaid from AJ’s wedding day.
Jenny – one of my best friends from High School, AJ’s sister, and Maid of Honor! 🙂
So obsessed with these skirts from Shabby Apple.
The talented caligraphy skills of Ari from Chykalophia Designs. 🙂
One of my favorite quotes form the show :
“Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.”
AJ gave the sweetest speech :
“To my best friends – my sisters! Here’s to always being there for each other…then, now and forever! I love you!”
Then the tears came. <3
I was LOVING the big window options in the loft!
A few toasts, and then off to the luncheon table, beautifully designed by:
Vision of Elegance Events, Vintage Place Settings, Nuage Designs, and Petals n’ Bloom.
So much fun with all the colors!
The sequence linens were amazing to photograph!

You all looked so lovely and I couldn’t be happier with our entire day!
Doesn’t every girl want to walk around in a fun tulle skirt???
I seriously cannot thank you 4 enough!
Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible or as fun!
You all brought your individual and unique styles to the shoot and I’ll be forever grateful for helping to make this idea come to life!
Seriously though, what’s better than a few sister pictures?! <3
Gorgeous ladies, both inside and out! 😉
After a long day of pictures and posing, it was time for CUPCAKES!
I’m so happy with how this shoot turned out. It was never work, only fun.
