Sarah + Andrew : Museum Campus Engagement

This session proves that everything happens for a reason.

I had been talking with Sarah and Andrew all Summer about their September wedding details and plans.  We had planned to get their engagement pictures done a lot earlier than this day, but life happens, and rescheduling we did.  After a little back and forth with available times AND crazy Chicago weather, we were finally able to find a date for their pictures.

It just happened to be 2 DAYS BEFORE THEIR WEDDING. But let me tell you, it was PERFECT outside.

We decided to meet at Museum campus, on the steps of the Field Museum to be exact, and no one was around.  It was warm, really sunny, and so quiet.  This session made me realize the beauty that IS Chicago, and reminded me how much I need to get out and enjoy it more.  To top it off, we were surrounded by butterflies throughout the day.  It was like the clouds parted and said THIS is the day you were meant to have for your pictures. Here you go. <3

Well thank you very much, because man oh man, did we take advantage of it all…almost 3 hours to be exact! I knew we wouldn’t have a lot of time available on their wedding day for portraits, so I had no problem spending a whole afternoon with these two.  They were such a joy to photograph and chat with and I had a blast! It got me even more excited for their wedding day the following weekend.

So here we go, their lovely engagement session day walking around museum campus…

Thank you both for spending so much time with me exploring this beautiful location.  I so enjoyed watching you two get excited talking about your wedding, and can say now I LOVED watching your wedding day as well! I cannot WAIT to share the memories from the wedding soon!

As I walked up to meet them, Sarah was putting on lipstick and then pulled out some hair gel to add some final touches to Andrew’s hair.
