Rachel + Eric : Lincoln Park Engagement at Sunset

Get ready to smile…A LOT!

Sometimes you have to reschedule because of weather.  And then you live in Chicago and this is ALWAYS the case. 😉

Luckily, I work with some of the sweetest and most flexible people and these two only exceeded my expectations.

Rachel & Eric were so fun to photograph.

Right off the bat, we all were ear to ear smiling because of how gorgeous the night was in Lincoln Park.

We started over by the Nature Museum just north of Fullerton Ave.  It was a spot where they had walked together in the past and thought it would be a perfect setting to document their engagement.

And just like that…these were the first few pictures of them. HOW ADORABLE ARE THEY?!

I kept saying all afternoon how easy it was to be around them and photograph them as a couple.

Right away, you could see how in love they are and how comfortable they are around each other.

One of my favorites from the start…and there will be more…because Eric just looks so happy!

The way he hugged Rachel and looked at her all afternoon was what every person dreams of from their significant other. <3 <3 <3

How beautiful is this area around the museum?!

And those ‘end of Spring‘ flowers were EVERYWHERE!

<3 <3 <3

Spotted!  A gorgeous vine wall with cool lighting…and GO! 😉

We would end up here later too.

If you aren’t smiling already, these next pictures will do the trick. 🙂

True love = picking food out of your fiance’s teeth.

…and then THE BALLOON joined in on the fun…

Now, we are in Chicago right?

And people always say it’s the ‘WINDY CITY’…(well for other political reasons)…but you get it.

Well as we were walking to the water front, this balloon took on a life of it’s own.  Eric had to tie it up just so it wouldn’t follow him back to where they were standing.

I personally could NOT stop laughing! HA!

Even though the balloon was going crazy, the wind helped to make some AWESOME pictures.

But seriously though, CHECK OUT THAT WATER!!!

This could not have been a more perfect evening for pictures!

<3 <3 <3

I’ll never get sick of this skyline view.

Or couples so in love it’s like I’m not even there taking pictures. <3

Rachel, you look STUNNING here.

Before Eric had enough of the balloon (or before it flew into the water), we decided to go all out and take some silly running pictures.

HAHA, these are hilariously adorable!

OK!

Balloon shut away in the car and new outfits on!

Hellooooo amazing shoes on BOTH of you!

Just across the street, the sun started to go down behind the buildings…but not before we got the best of it.

And that right there, ladies & gentlemen, is a perfect GOLDEN HOUR.

I’m pretty sure I was jumping up and down like I won the lottery at this point. I was in photographer heaven!

You two made this session so fun!

Every little spot or position I put you in, you made it look so natural…even under an old tipped over tree trunk.

When you frolic in a field of GORGEOUSNESS with sunset light, how do you NOT smile?!

Where should we go next guys?

HAHA, love this one of you!

Laughter and love = these two pictures together.

Me : “Let’s go walk down this path for a few more to end the night.”

 – around the corner we go –

All of us : “Holy crap! This is perfect!”

From left to right, this was so funny.

I couldn’t get over Eric and his awesome GQ stare, and when I called him out for doing an awesome job of it, they both couldn’t stop laughing.

A few more at our new favorite vine wall before saying goodbye.

Ok you two, now it’s up to you, choose a pose to end your engagement session…

How sweet is this?!

But these grumpy faces I think solidified the end. None of us wanted to leave the fun.

HA! Love these!

Oh man, what can I say to you two that you don’t already know?! This session was :

AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, HILARIOUS, UNFORGETTABLE, and last, but certainly not least, FUN!

Thank you THANK YOU for showing everyone how easy it is to show true love in pictures. (It’s not cheesy if it’s true!)

Rachel : you made me feel as though I’ve known you forever.  I loved talking about all of your wedding planning with such excitement.  You have such a beautiful spirit about you and I’m certain you could light up a room with smiles wherever you go. 😉

Eric : you are the nicest guy…for real! It was refreshing watching how you talked with and hugged & kissed Rachel.  You are so protecting, but at the same time, so loving.  The endless compliments given to Rachel throughout the evening were beyond sweet.  Anyone who is around you two for more than a few moments can tell how much you love each other.

I hope you both see that in your pictures above.

Until the wedding day…AND I CANNOT WAIT..BIG hugs!
