These two are getting married next year at the Palmer House in Chicago, so what better place to meet them for the engagement session? We decided to meet early in the morning before all of the tourists woke up to walk around the city. Lauren and Jack were used to early mornings though, being avid runners. They are actually training for this year’s Chicago Marathon, so walking all around the city didn’t even phase them. 😉
I was loving this spot under the Palmer House lights. <3You two are such an adorable couple!See what I mean about getting up early…and NO ONE being around? So cool!We were slowly walking East, making our way towards the water. I love when couples tell me they are the ‘most awkward people with pictures‘…and then they look like THIS for all of them. HAHA. You two are so cute!<3 <3 <3We seriously had the most gorgeous morning in the city. And you can never go wrong with that morning sun behind you. SOOO pretty!Moving more East, we made our way though the gorgeous Lurie Garden in Millennium Park. And the best thing about you two? You were so comfortable with one another, and it showed in every picture. No matter what I suggested, they went with it fully, and made it their own. …and cracked each other up all morning.I loved their 2nd outfit together!…and how sweet they got when I made them get closer and closer. <3Such a perfect time to walk around Millennium Park with all of the colors.Once we made it to the Lake, the sun was up and bright and warming us up!And we walked along the lake a race that just happened to be going on at the same time. A perfect setting for these soon to be Marathon finishers. As we made our way back towards the city, we had to walk through the finish of the race, where the runners smiled as they realized they were photobombing their pictures…or were WE photobombing their race? 😉Being a Chicago resident, I rarely make it to the loop area to walk around. Mainly because it’s usually really crowded AND the neighborhoods of Chicago are awesome to explore. Most tourists don’t realize it! BUT, on an early morning on the weekend, not a lot of people are around, making walking around a usually crowded spot, uniquely cool.To end their session, we took in all the Fall colors the park had to offer. Being so warm outside, it still felt like Summer. But with THESE colors, I was ready for sweater weather and hot coffee. 😉LOVE this one!Thank you two for such a fun session! I loved getting to walk around the loop again with you. It made me realize I need to do that more often. 😉
Good luck on the Chicago Marathon! I hope the race goes well and you get to rest up after and enjoy these pictures with a smile.
I can’t wait until the wedding next year!
