Krissy + Alex : A Chicago Wedding at the Millennium Knickerbocker

Here it is!!!  The first wedding of 2015 and MAN oh MAN did we get one crazy filled day!  Remember the entire month of June, 2015 and all the rain we got?  Well I’m pretty sure Krissy & Alex’s end of May wedding kicked off the GOOD LUCK rain streak!  The day started out in Joliet for a few getting ready pictures and down the street for the ceremony at The Cathedral of The St. Raymond Nonnatus.

First a look back at their adorable engagement session here!

The most ADORABLE little flower girl…we’ll see plenty more of her as the day progresses.

8 bridesmaids, family, friends, makeup artists, hair stylists and 2 photographers…thank goodness they had several floors in this building to get ready in!

Meanwhile, back at the church, the very handsome Alex was getting ready.

Men in black and bow ties. Yep, my job is easy.

Over 2 hours later, LOTS of crazy busy traffic and a VERY bad downpour, everyone finally made it and rushed inside to dry off.

Sometimes, the ‘schedule‘ you map out for your day doesn’t always happen according to plan.  Thank GOD for easy going couples! 😉

As we were sort of behind and didn’t have enough time for the entire wedding party to come…(Not to mention it was a monsoon outside!)…we drove the bride and groom alone over to State Street.  We figured why not?!  Just jump out really quick, grab a picture, and jump back in.

Simple right?!

The picture in front of the CHICAGO theater sign was a big MUST for Krissy.

It was all worth it for THIS amazing shot!

We were welcomed back at the Knickerbocker by the beautiful wedding party.

And now for some fun in the reception room before the guests arrive…

Mr. & Mrs!!!

The Champagne Parade.

A friend put a GoPro on the first waiter’s bottle.  You can see it HERE!

And forever the best moment…when your brother reveals your younger self obsession with Kate Winslet and the scrapbook you made of her.

Everyone was cracking up!

And the DJ (unplanned) started to play the Titanic song which only made things funnier!

What an awesome setting!

Like I said, this little cutie was around ALL day AND night!  She ruled that dance floor!

I love when couples get up and dance…

especially when they are my past couples!

Hi Amber & Tom (on the right)! Congrats on your adorable son! 😉

There were so many fun dancers at this wedding! 😉

Bouquet & Garter time!

Ah, the dropping and breaking of one’s glass during a garter catch.

Such a fun wedding!!!  People were dancing all night long! 🙂

Two of my, now past, couples in the middle surrounded by friends.

NIU group I believe?! 🙂

MOM picture! <3

Right before I was about to leave, we check to see if the rain stopped.

As soon as we saw it did we grabbed the entire wedding party and headed outside for one last picture.

It was FREEZING, but at least it wasn’t raining anymore! 😉

Congratulations you two! <3

We had a blast with you on your day!  You two were amazing, even through a downpour and a crazy interrupted schedule.

You made the day fun and easy going and I know I’ll never forget this wedding or you two!

And just for fun, a behind the scenes shot of me trying a different picture through the mirror in the reception.

I think it turned out pretty cool, no?! 😉

I hope you have many MANY years of happiness, lots of laughs, and too many pictures to look at.
