Julie + Mike : Naperville Riverwalk Engagement

I met Julie & Mike just weeks earlier at Jennifer & Michael’s wedding.  Julie was a bridesmaid and Mike was seated at the same table as me during the reception.

We chatted about their beginning stages of wedding planning including venues and such and as always, I threw my name into the pool of possible photographer contenders. 😉

I remembered talking to Julie in the morning of the wedding about how she just got engaged at the top of the hill in Naperville by the river walk.

I thought, that place would be great for their engagement pictures too! A short while later, I got an email from Julie and we set up a date and time to meet.

I could not have been happier with their morning.  It was oddly warm and perfect!

Julie stepped out of the car with what I can only describe as a Mary Poppins bag of engagement goodies.

…and up the hill we climbed…

🙂

We of course started at the top of the hill where he proposed.

Loved their ‘Save the Date’ sign!

Time for a reenactment!

The best part is when they went to return the sign to their car, a man stopped to say congrats thinking the proposal was real!

🙂

A seriously gorgeous morning!

Goodie bag item #2, the knot! 😉

You two make such a beautiful couple! <3

🙂

🙂

🙂

I said it when I posted their SNEAK PEEK pictures and I’ll say it again.

These two were one the easiest couples I’ve ever photographed before.

All of their smiles, laughs, and goofiness are all them! I simply had to stand there and take pictures.

Loved photographing these two!!!

This type of randomness would happen every few minutes.

I laughed all morning. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Now, this is a keeper!

Time for a mini dance break…

Add in the leg guitar…

This is for sure a favorite from the day!

Perfect sunny day! <3

<3 <3 <3

We were standing on the bridge when I look over and see an old man holding a walking stick heading our way.

Before we knew it, he came over and started giving these two advice.

I’d like to call him Naperville’s love bridge guru.

(I secretly imagine he gives all couples who are newly engaged advice on that bridge) 😉

One of my favorite moments! <3

Such complete naturals.

But I love that Mike was looking right at Julie. <3

Goodie bag item #3 : bring out the chalk and take off your shoes.

Also in the bag, extra shirts. (Outfit change for Julie!) 😉

Julie – such a great idea!

*11 – 7 – 15* <3

HA!

Another one of my favorites (I love them all FYI) but making each other laugh is the best!

<3 <3 <3

Another goodie bag item : Their ‘J’ & ‘M’. 🙂

This was such a pretty spot with the sun overhead. So colorful!

Just a little dancing under the bridge…

Another favorite! <3

The ‘I’m so happy to be engaged – obligatory – jumping picture’!

Julie, you win at this pose! 😉

Oh the fun we have whilst throwing leaves.

There’s just something about this pose and these two. I thought it then too.

Just so sweet. <3

You two really are in love and it really does show. <3 <3 <3

Last change and a few more pictures…

Shoes changes too! 😉

Julie & Mike

I don’t have enough words to describe how much fun I had during your session.

You two are truly so sweet, not just to others (me) :), but to each other.

It always makes me so happy to see couples who feed off of each other’s energy in such a positive way.

I can’t say enough good things about you two!

Thank you for such a wonderful morning and for so many fun memories! 😉

I kind of wish your wedding was next weekend so we could meet up again!

Until next year…

HUGS!
