It’s funny when you reschedule a session because of bad weather, and then end up getting one of the coldest fall days in Chicago anyways. But I’m telling you, Jordin & Nick made a FREEZING Chicago day so much fun to be in. We met early in the morning…and I mean EARLY to make sure no one else was around. I kind of laughed thinking well of course no one else is out here, WE are the crazies walking around in below freezing temps! LOL! But as they showed up with the biggest smiles looking adorable as ever, I knew we were all in this together and it was going to be a fun morning.
Quite a difference from our initial meeting on a HOT day in the city a few months earlier. 😉
I don’t think Copper, their dog, seemed to notice though. He had a blast running around in the snow. You two were troopers for making this session work. We would take a few pictures, then put layers back on, walk around, and do it all over again. I’m laughing about it now! Especially for the fact that I could barely speak when giving direction…because my face was frozen! HA!I love looking at these pictures though because regardless of the low temps and ridiculous wind, you two smiled through it all and made the best of it. I think that sums you up for sure! You see the best in everything and smile through it all. <3Copper pretty much stole the show though. Ha, I couldn’t stop laughing while taking these! We walked into Navy Pier to warm up a bit, (again, it was early so NO ONE was around), and the beautiful Crystal Gardens happened to be open and EMPTY…and INDOORS! It was perfect! While it’s below freezing outside, we find a warm room filled with palm trees inside.
LOVE IT!You two are so cute together!
Every time I directed them with a pose, they made it better. They just looked at each other and smiled and laughed. They brought out the best in each other and it shows! <3But seriously, this room!!!! <3 <3 <3 The image on the left always makes me smile when I look at it.
Nick, you got this man! HAHA 😉Jordin, you are adorable! 🙂After a quick outfit change, we psyched ourselves up for more outdoor pictures and made our way over to the West Loop.
There is this great little alley way on Green Street in between two delicious restaurants : Green Street Smoked Meats, and RM Champagne. If you haven’t been, you have to try!
And because it was still VERY early, no one was around and we had this cute walkway all to ourselves.
This picture we will call : ‘MOTHER!’
Because when I get excited about a photo, I apparently yell out random things that don’t make sense. LOL! But hey, it got you laughing! 😉You can’t tell, but that wind was coming in STRONG and while I was bundled with LOTS Of layers behind my camera, these two were rocking out some adorable pictures WITHOUT coats! You two are awesome!Fancy a glass…or BOTTLE…of champagne? HA!There were so many fun spots in this small little corner of the city! And when Liz finds a fun and colorful wall, you get in front of it!
Especially when someone leaves us a cute little snowman to pose with! <3Love this one! This is one of my favorites!
I THINK I’m pretty hilarious, just sayin. 😉A little stroll on the streets of Chicago to end their session. You two are the BEST!
I cannot thank you enough for meeting me in the city…and for making do with such a cold day! I am counting down the days until your warmer Summer wedding next year!
Can’t wait! Let’s celebrate with more Rose’! 😉
Until we meet again…and hopefully in warmer weather…
