I was OBSESSED with her long veil! <3 <3 <3The lovely ladies in their bridesmaid robes. My favorite part of the day!

Time to get the dress on! 🙂So much anticipation as we all waited for her dad to see her for the first time…<3 <3 <3The shoes, the veil, the bracelet……and then Colleen’s late mother’s necklace.

<3Going to the chapel….Meanwhile, Tim made some finishing touches to his dapper groom’s look.So fun to see one of their engagement pictures from Lightology in Chicago used as their program cover.Tim’s smile was contagious as he walked down the aisle. 🙂Here comes the bride!Such a happy moment. The lighting in this church was gorgeous! The sheer detail on the bridesmaids dresses = <3FIRST KISS!AND THEY ARE MARRIED!!!

Can you tell Tim’s excited? 😉Bubble exits are the best!Off to the beautiful Danada House for pictures and celebration! This group was WORKING IT!Guys being…guys. 😉Check out those socks! So fun!The lovely ladies. <3I love when everyone has different shoes.

The stunning Colleen and her handsome Tim.The horses were out running in the background.  So cool to catch them in their pictures! One last group shot before this party bus takes off!The Danada House is such a unique venue.

I love every time I get to photograph here because of all the different rooms and spaces. In there table placement room, they had a display honoring Colleen’s late mother Melanie.  She had passed away from ALS a few years prior.

While she may not have physically been at her daughters wedding, you for sure felt the love she left behind surrounding everyone there.Colleen and Tim had so many fun signs included in their details…One of the best details was their personal ‘Eat, Drink, & be Married’ cookbook! LOVED THIS!Instead of a DJ, we got to dance the night away with Felix and Fingers, a dueling piano team!

They were AMAZING!Time for the introductions!Dressed to impress with personalized ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ Jerseys! 🙂A cake smash in true form! LOL!After some very sweet and personal speeches, it was announced that the bride and groom would not kiss unless you stood up and sang them a love song.

It wasn’t long before we had our first volunteer! 😉First dance as husband and wife. <3A dance with her sweet Father. And Tim with his mom. 🙂DANCE FLOOR IS OPEN!!!TIME TO PARTY! 🙂These two!  HA!

They barely left the dance floor.  So fun to watch!Bouquet and garter time! The ease at which this bouquet was caught was very impressive. 😉Tim not only threw the garter far, but on a football no less…AWESOME CATCH!End of the night pictures with the beautiful newlyweds!

<3 <3 <3Thank you two for such an amazing day!  I had a blast!

Here’s to many, MANY years of happiness and love!

HUGS!

{A little about Colleen & Tim}

 1. When did you meet? Where?

Tim and I met the spring of 2009. Colleen’s roommate at the time accepted an internship in South Africa and needed someone to sublet her room. Without knowing anyone who was looking to sublet at that time, an ad was posted on craigslist and in moved a (random) girl from Ohio. That girl was dating Tim’s best friend at the time.

2. When did you get engaged?

October 12th, 2013. Masker Apple Orchard Warwick, NY.

3. How did the proposal happen?

We started a tradition of apple picking each fall together. Tim decided to plan our apple picking trip of 2013 in the beautiful Hudson valley in upstate New York. While Colleen knew a proposal was coming at some point in the future, she was completely surprised when Tim got down on one knee in the middle of the apple orchard (even after all the hints along the way).

4. Wedding Ceremony & Venue

Wedding Ceremony : St. Joseph Catholic Church, Downers Grove

Reception : Danada House, Wheaton

5. Honeymoon :

Part 1 was Mackinac Island immediately following the wedding. Part 2 will be a Mediterranean cruise in spring 2016.

6. What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?

Marrying my best friend and celebrating with all of our closest family and friends.

7. If you could do it all over again, what would you change, if anything?

I would spend more time alone as husband and wife. We really wanted to spend all our time with our family and friends and don’t regret that for a second. I just wish we had more time together as a husband and wife during the day.

8. What was your first dance song?

Baby, I love your way

9. Any advice for future couples?

Enjoy being engaged and don’t rush to start planning. Once you do start planning take your time. Take time to figure out what the two of you want, not what will please family, friends, others. This is YOUR day. Make sure to include everything the two of you love.

10. 3 words to describe each other :

3 words about my husband : handsome, caring and generous

3 words about my wife : loving, creative and nurturing

THANKS FOR SHARING!

For some fun, a few ‘behind the scenes’ pictures…

Sometimes, one must pose with the DJ to test the light…AND CHEESE! HA!

I will literally crawl on the ground in plants for the right shot. Just sayin. 😉
