What’s one thing about your spouse that made you realize you wanted to marry them?
– Caitlin: “Chris has a million things that make him stand out as amazing: he is hilariously quick-witted, incredibly kind, the most loyal friend, and one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met. I could go on, but I really knew we would be great teammates for life when I realized our priorities were the same – our faith, family, and friends.”
– Chris: “Caitlin has the most positive and kind spirit of anyone I have ever met. She is generous, loving, and kind to anyone she meets. She is also fiercely loyal to her friends and family. This made her infectious to be around and was unlike anyone I have ever met. This made me realize pretty early on I wanted to marry her because being around her made me a better person.”
To say I was BEYOND excited for this wedding would be a complete understatement. Caitlin and Chris happen to be not the 2nd or 3rd, but 4th couple in an amazing group of friends that have all been photographed by me! It was truly a weekend full of fun and I couldn’t wait to celebrate with them all! <3 I had never been to Cincinnati before either and getting to travel and visit a new city AND work there is always a dream!

READ A LITTLE ABOUT CAITLIN & CHRIS:
Q. When did you meet? Where? We met at Matilda’s in April 2016
Q. When did you get engaged? Where? Steak 48 on October 21, 2017
Q. How did the proposal happen? Chris had special menus made at the restaurant with “Ti Amo, Vuoi Sposarmi” written on them, which means “I love you, will you marry me” in Italian. Caitlin had been learning a little bit of Italian given some of Chris’s relatives speak primarily in Italian, and realized immediately that this wasn’t an ordinary date night. Chris had a speech prepared and a ottle of champagne ready to celebrate as Caitlin said yes!
Q. What was the most important aspect for you two when planning your wedding?
Keeping logistics simple and staying flexible / laid-back. We wanted to enjoy the wonderful experience and maximize the time we had with our friends and family.
Q. What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?
Caitlin: it’s hard to pick one favorite thing! Our first look was very special, as was saying the vows in our ceremony. The last hour of the reception will always be memorialized in my mind as one of my happiest moments as well – surrounded by family and friends with a great band!
Chris: The first look was definitely a favorite of the day. It was special to turn around and see Caitlin in her wedding dress. It was also great to have a few minutes together privately before the craziness of the day began. I also loved the toasts as well as when The Reggie Sullivan Band started playing after dinner.
Q. What were the first dance songs?
Newlyweds: When I Get my Hands on You by The New Bassment Tapes
Mother & Son: What a Wonderful World by Louie Armstrong
Father & Daughter: The Girl You Think I Am by Carrie Underwood
Q. Where did you (or plan to) go for your honeymoon?Italy! We visited Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Florence, Tuscany, and Positano
Q. Can you give any advice for future couples planning a wedding?A. You’ve got this! Good luck!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING!

We had a BLAST during the engagement session in Chicago and I knew they would make the best wedding day EVER! These two both come from the sweetest families! The amazing Vendors :

Suit : @theblacktuxBoth of them stayed in the beautiful Phelps, A Residence Inn, which made running back and forth during their prep pictures extremely easy. I started with the ladies while they poured champagne and posed together in the cutest matching robes. Caitlin’s infectious smile NEVER left her face all day! So very beautiful! As soon as they toasted it was time to get dressed! See what I mean about her smile? She literally lights up the room! Caitlin and her mom! Gorgeous ladies! HELLO GORGEOUS!!! Absolutely stunning! Time for all the ladies to see her dressed and ready! Before I headed to meet the guys, Caitlin opened her gift from Chris. I’d say she was VERY happy! Meanwhile, Caitlin’s dad and the guys helped Chris get ready…HA! Hey guys! Tom (left) was the first wedding I photographed out of this group, and now Chris is the last…well hopefully not! Who else is engaged???;) How many groomsmen does it take to tie a bow tie? Chris got help from his sweet dad for his final touches. <3 So dapper! Suit and tie on, time for a groomsmen toast! Then Chris opened his gifts from Caitlin… …starting with his very open bobble head! LOL! And the most elegant watch. Finally! It was time to bring them both to the rooftop of the hotel, overlooking the city, to see each other for the first time. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! So much excitement! What a cool place to do a first look! Such a cool view of Cincinnati! “What do you think?” 🙂 <3 <3 <3 First time seeing dad. <3 While we waited for the rest of the wedding party…yep the rest of this LARGE group…a quick picture of Caitlin with all the guys. (Love how sweetly Chris’s dad is looking at them.) Everyone together now! Cheers! One more in front of their awesome hotel and off to the gorgeous Bell Event Centre for LOTS more. HELLO BIG AND BEAUTIFUL WEDDING PARTY! The gents. And the stunning ladies. I loved the narrow streets in the city. It happened to be REALLY sunny on their day, so right into the direct light we went for that beautiful blue sky. LOVE! One of my favorites! So pretty outside! The Bell Event Centre is such a cool old building! Final toasts before they say I DO! And on to the inside, moments before the ceremony. This place was so beautifully set up! Seriously, how cool is this venue?! That smile IS infectious! 😉 = Their sweet friends Sam and Nick sang during the ceremony. They did an amazing job! MARRIED!!! A quick wedding party exit out the building with the most amazing sun shining through! While the room was switching over for the reception, everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers outside. And just like that, they were set up and ready to welcome everyone in to party! MR. & MRS.! First dance as husband and wife. These were seriously some of the sweetest and most heartfelt speeches. <3 After their thank you speech, the band started to play and Caitlin and Chris started everyone on the dance floor. Balcony views of the reception. The last big dance was the bride and groom and their parents. And the bride and groom BEYOND happy surrounded by so much love. BEST WEDDING EVER!!!! WOOHOO! Married selfie! 😉 And now for the BIG finale, a bunch of silly photos with ALL of my amazing couples! (All THEIR idea!) HA! “Liz should get on the horse!” LOL! Congratulations Caitlin and Chris! Your wedding was an absolute DREAM and it was truly MY honor to be to a part of it all with you. I cannot thank you enough for allowing to be there to document your memories. You two are some of the sweetest and kindest souls and I wish you ALL the happiness in the world! A HUUUUUUGE thank you to my Jeffrey for ALL of your amazing help throughout the wedding. You are seriously the best and now you have to come to every wedding with me. K? 😉
