Becca + Matt : Wedding at the Abbington in Glen Ellyn

It’s rare when a couple of high school sweethearts stay together long enough to get married.  When it happens and they are more in love than ever?  That’s a beautiful thing to witness and photograph.  I knew the wedding day for Rebecca & Matthew was going to be a memorable one when I met them for the engagement pictures.  These two were ALL smiles then and it continued throughout the entire wedding day.

Here is beautiful wedding day of:

They are so close and have so much love for each other.  That was really cool to see!

<3After so much anticipation, it was FINALLY time to get in the dress!!!I LOVE this picture!  I feel like Becca looks like a model being dressed for the runway.

<3Becca’s mom really did an amazing job on that dress!

So much detail!!!Officially MARRIED!

🙂The entire ceremony was a traditional Lutheran service with Hymns and all.

As they were walking out as husband & wife, they were being serenaded by the congregation singing.

🙂Their first moments together MARRIED!🙂 🙂 🙂So much happiness!

(I loved looking later while editing these and seeing Becca’s parents in the background so thrilled.)One of my favorite parts of the wedding day (there are MANY) is the wedding party pictures.

One must climb within the trees…

😉Every time I take shoe pictures, they girls never think I’m getting their faces in the camera.

This time I shot up and got them laughing.

🙂The adorable Becca and her never ending smile.

🙂LOVED the gorgeous bouquets!I posted this picture as one of the SNEAK PEEK’s online.

{A little about Becca & Matt}

 1. When did you meet? Where?

We met in Driver’s Ed at Wheaton North High School our sophomore year in 2008.

2. When did you get engaged?

May 18th, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

3. How did the proposal happen?

After we went to dinner, we walked down the beach for a while until we came across a heart made of roses. While the sun was setting, Matt got down on one knee and asked.

4.Wedding Ceremony & Venue

Wedding Ceremony- Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, IL

Reception- Abbington, Glen Ellyn, IL

5.Honeymoon?

Becca had no idea where we were going. We flew to Orlando, Florida on July 1st and were there for five days. We stayed in the Waldorf Astoria and went to Disney World and Universal. On the sixth morning, I woke Becca up and told her we only had an hour to get dressed, eat, and pack. We had a shuttle take us an hour away to Port Canaveral where we sailed on a cruise to the Bahamas for four nights.

6. What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?

We were blessed to be surrounded by all our family and friends who love us. It was great to be able to celebrate with all of them.

7. If you could do it all over again, what would you change, if anything?

We wish we could have had more time to make sure we had a chance to talk to everyone that came!

8. What was your first dance song?

Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole

9. Any advice for future couples?

Just remember what that day is all about.  🙂 Something isn’t going to go right, but in the end it won’t matter because you get to spend the rest of your life with the person you love!

10. 3 words to describe your husband/wife?

Husband:
·   Loving
·   Thoughtful
·   Humorous
Wife:
·   Caring
·   Loving
·   Sweet
