Amy + Donny : Wedding at The Grove Country Club

A wedding full of family only and two high school sweethearts very much in love!  This was Amy & Donny’s day. <3

“March 18, 2016- it was our ten year anniversary and we were closing on our condo- Donny put together a scavenger hunt for me around the city, as he has surprised me with from time to time, going to a few of our favorite places and the scavenger hunt ended in Maggie Daley Park where he had hired a farmer from South Illinois to drive up with her two mini pigs and dressed them up in tutus to help him propose. (I’m in love with mini pigs and always have been! That was the biggest shock of the whole thing!)”

I mean, are you kidding me with that adorable proposal?! When I first met these two, I knew their day would be ALL them.  It was family, smaller, intimate, and everything they wanted.  We had one GORGEOUS afternoon of pictures and an outdoor ceremony JUST before the rain came.  It was perfect timing and the rest of the night was a big and awesome night of partying the night away.  I LOVED being a part of this day with Amy & Donny and I’m so excited to share it now.

I started the day out with Amy and the ladies.  Right when I saw her dress, my jaw dropped!  I couldn’t WAIT to see it on!  I’m a HUGE sucker for lace. <3

Just when I thought the dress was amazing enough, she showed me the flowers…kale, artichokes, peppers, and SO MANY COLORS!

IT was so cool.  The first thing out of my mouth was, I could eat this! HA!

Amy, you are too cute!

Loved this DIY – writing out the table placement on a mirror!

As Amy was finishing up her makeup, I made my way downstairs to meet up with Donny and the guys.

I brought the guys outside to finish up their last minute touches.

Brothers 🙂

The very dapper Groom, Donny.

While I went to check on the ladies, the guys finished up some table tennis and lunch downstairs…

Meanwhile upstairs…the ladies were having so much fun together.  🙂

Time for the dress! My favorite part!

LOVED the detail in this dress!

Amy and her mom were so sweet together. <3

Last minute touches before the FIRST LOOK! Amy, you are beautiful!

GAH! Are you kidding me lady?! Absolutely STUNNING!

When you have food in your bouquet…pepper down!

I immediately thought : DIBS! HA!

The 1st FIRST LOOK was with Amy’s dad. LOVED mom’s reaction to seeing Dad’s face. <3

Amy’s dad was so sweet and caring all day.  He made sure Amy was nothing but happy through everything. <3

The 2nd FIRST LOOK : time for Donny to see his bride to be!

He did not stop smiling after this!

<3 <3 <3

You two are so sweet together!

And I LOVED that Donny immediately wanted to take a picture of his bride. So cute!

Before we met up with the wedding party and family, we took pictures of just the two of them.

Seriously such a perfect day!

I could not get enough of that bouquet!

The Grove Country Club grounds are so pretty! But these two make them picture perfect!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

The way Donny is looking at Amy here…ya he looked at her like this ALL day.

Then our big and beautiful wedding party joined in!

These colors were so much fun to photograph!

You all are stunning!!!!

Well HELLO gentlemen!

Such a fun wedding party!

Minutes before the ceremony was about to start, this amazing sunset came through the trees…

And Liz is now in photography HEAVEN! GAH! That light!

When your ceremony is outside and makes for the perfect backdrop. <3

Light and beautiful details…

Just as the ceremony started, the sun started to go away and bring in the clouds.  We knew the rain would come, but it thankfully stayed away through the entire ceremony.

After so many years together, these two look at each other as if it was their first date. LOVE IT!

How gorgeous is this setting?!

Their vows were so sweet.  I loved getting to watch the parents and their reactions during it.

Time to kiss your bride!

And on the traditional route, breaking the glass…

MARRIED!!!

SO HAPPY!!!

Those first moments after getting married are the sweetest!

Their colorful table details were perfect on the bright table cloths.

Time to celebrate Mr. & Mrs.!

The family speeches were so sweet. <3

They had a slideshow during dinner with pictures of their life growing up and together…including their proposal. <3

Time to dance!

Everyone, including the Grandma’s, got out and danced…and later EVERYONE joined in for one HUGE group picture!

What an awesome night!  They even had a decorated golf cart with a ‘Just Married’ signed attached. 🙂

Once last picture before I headed out.

Thank you both for such a beautiful day! I LOVED being a part of these memories with you.
